Should I size down for shapewear?
No — sizing down causes the band to roll. Match the calculator's recommendation, which already factors compression.
Why does my shapewear roll at the waist?
The waist band is too small for the bust or rib cage above it. Order a brand that publishes torso length, or move to a bodysuit (no waistband).
How does post-surgery shapewear differ from regular?
Surgical compression is rated in mmHg (medical pressure). Regular shapewear is light/medium/firm — different scale entirely. Use surgical-rated for post-op.
Are waist trainers the same as shapewear?
No. Waist trainers are corsets designed for hourglass shaping during wear; shapewear smooths under clothes. Different sizing scales — waist trainers are sized to your goal waist, not current.
