Why are Japanese women's sizes only odd numbers?
JIS women's numerical sizing uses 5, 7, 9, 11, 13, 15, 17. Even numbers are not used. JP 9 is the most common adult size, ≈ US 4–6.
How do I read 'JP M' vs 'JP 9'?
Both refer to roughly the same body. JP M = JP 9 = US 4–6. The letter and numeric systems coexist on Japanese labels.
