Frequently Asked Questions
Should I measure waist where the jeans sit or my natural waist?
Where the jeans sit. For mid-rise jeans that's 1–2 inches below your natural waist; for high-rise it's at the natural waist; for low-rise it's at the hip.
Should I size up for skinny jeans?
If you have athletic thighs, yes — go up 1 in the waist. If your build is straight up-and-down, match the calculator number.
How do I measure my inseam?
From the crotch seam down the inside leg to the hem on a pair of jeans that already fits. Or stand against a wall, place a book between your legs, mark the wall, and measure to the floor.
What if my waist and hip put me in different sizes?
Go by the larger number for fitted jeans (skinny, straight) and tailor the waist if needed. For relaxed cuts, go by waist.
