Frequently Asked Questions
Where exactly is my waist?
Three places. Natural waist is the narrowest point of your torso, ~1" above the belly button. Low waist is at or below the belly button. Pant waist is between the two.
Should I measure tight or loose?
Snug, parallel to the floor, no holding your breath. The tape should sit against your skin (or thin shirt) without compressing.
Why does my waist size differ between jeans and dresses?
Jeans use low or pant waist. Dresses use natural waist. Same body, different reference points.
Does waist size change throughout the day?
Yes — by 1–2 inches between morning (after sleep, smaller) and evening (after meals, larger). Measure morning for sizing.
