Frequently asked questions
Why is baby sizing by age unreliable?
Babies grow at wildly different rates. A 6-month-old can wear anything from 3–6M to 12–18M. Always pair age with height and weight on the chart so parents pick by what they can measure.
What's the difference between 12M and 18M?
12M typically fits 20–24 lbs, 28–30 in. 18M fits 24–28 lbs, 30–32 in. Many brands skip 15M; some do 12–18M as a single label. Be consistent across your line.
Should I include US/UK/EU labels?
Yes if you ship internationally. EU sizing is height in cm (62, 68, 74, 80). UK uses age (0–3M, 3–6M etc., same as US). JP uses height in cm too.
What about premie sizing?
Add a separate column or row for preemie (5 lbs and under, ~17 in). Many baby lines skip preemie; if you carry it, label clearly so NICU parents and gift-buyers find it.
