Plus-size availability varies by country: US has the most extensive (most brands offer through 4X+). UK and Australia decent through size 26-28. EU often stops at 50. Japan stops at 7L (rare past 5L). Asian markets historically less inclusive plus-size offering than Western markets.

    FAQs

Why does US have the most plus sizing?

Larger body sizes more common in US population — bigger market. Brands like Lane Bryant, Torrid, Eloquii built specialty plus-size brands. Mainstream US brands (Old Navy, Target, J. Crew) extended to 4X+.

Plus-size denim — different number system?

Often. Plus jeans use numeric (16W, 18W, 20W) or W-inch (W36, W38, W40+). Match jeans to your real waist measurement, not letter size, for best fit.
