Children's Size by Age: Global Comparison

Kids' clothing sizing globally uses two systems. US/UK label by age (4T, 6, 8). EU labels by height in cm (104, 116, 128). Japan/Korea use both.

    Notes

EU height-in-cm sizing is most precise because it removes age guesswork. Two 5-year-olds can be 5cm apart in height — using height-cm gets correct fit either way. US/UK age-keyed labels assume average height for age, which often misses outlier kids. When buying online, look up the cm height column and match to your child's actual height.

    FAQs

What if my child is between EU heights?

Round up. Kids grow 5-7cm per year, so the next size lasts longer. EU 110 vs 116 — go 116 for any kid 110-115cm.

How do US toddler T-sizes work?

T = toddler. 2T-5T have roomier rise to fit over diapers/pull-ups. Size 2 (without T) is for potty-trained kids same age. After 5T, sizes drop the T (size 6, 7, 8).
