Frequently asked questions
What measurements should a dress size chart have?
Bust, waist, and hip at minimum. For fitted bodycon, also include underbust and dress length. For A-line and shift, bust dominates and waist matters less.
Should I show inches or centimeters?
Both, ideally. Use the unit toggle in the generator to display "in", "cm", or "both". Customers in the EU and Asia expect cm; US and UK expect inches.
Is bridal sized differently?
Yes — wedding dresses run 1–2 sizes smaller than ready-to-wear. If your line is bridal, label the chart "Bridal Sizing" so customers don't apply ready-to-wear assumptions.
How do I handle plus-size dress charts?
Generate a separate chart for sizes 14W–30W. Plus-size cuts have different bust-to-waist ratios than straight sizes, so a unified chart confuses fit.
